Bisexual stereotypes, anyone?

I think they might have managed to mention everything we put on the board in class with Robyn Ochs.  In this episode, entitled "Boy, Girl, Boy, Girl," Carrie dates Shawn, who is bisexual.  She sees him again after this scene in the cafe, but breaks up with him later in the episode, saying she is an "old fart."  It seems as if she's leaving because she can't handle his "young" lifestyle, which leaves the viewers to believe his bisexuality is a lifestyle that he will eventually outgrow (as all the bisexual men Carrie knew in college appear to have done).  This aired in 2000.
