BU Hockey Player Arrested for Rape

As we talked about in class today- consent, rape, sexuality etc.

In the news this week a Boston University hockey player has been accused of rape and suspended from the team indefinitely. This is the second BU hockey player this year. AKB48: Japanese girl band

Here is a video I'm referencing in my senior research and  I thought that it pertains to the class as well. It's an extremely popular girl band in Japan called AKB48. The juxtaposition of sexuality and girly cute-culture is...interesting. It's in Japanese, but you don't need to understand it to get the message. My 10-year-old host sister first showed it to me while I was in Japan and kept saying how cute everything was. I sat there in shock for a second.

It's interesting. Check it out! ^_^
